The Teachers’ Association of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) has decided to take strict action if it fails to ensure the promotion of these teachers with financial benefits from due date by revising the teacher upgradation policy by December.
The decision was taken at the second meeting of the association held at the university's teacher lounge and zoom meeting platform on 23 November. Almost 180 teachers participated in that meeting.
Teachers' Association also urged the administration to provide mobile internet data to university students like other universities to make online classes more effective and to provide modern online classroom equipment in every department.
Discussions were held on setting up of new teachers' associations at the end of the tenure of the existing teachers' association, including the determination of duties, modernization of teachers' retirement rates, decision-making on the management of teachers' clubs, teachers' accommodation and various bureaucratic complications.
