BSF returns 12 Bangladeshis after illegal border crossing

Twelve Bangladeshi nationals, including nine men, two women, and one child, were handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) after they illegally crossed into India.

The official handover took place on Tuesday at 12 noon near Main Pillar 76 along the Darshana border during a flag meeting between Chuadanga-6 BGB and India’s 32 BSF Battalion.

Lt. Colonel Nazmul Hasan, commander of Chuadanga-6 BGB, said the individuals had entered India illegally at different times and had been living in various Indian states. They have now been handed over to Darshana Police Station.

The flag meeting was attended by Subedar Ashraful Islam, Company Commander of Darshana BGB, and A.C. Surendar Singh, Company Commander of BSF’s Gede camp.
