BSCIC becomes focus of employment: BSCIC Chairman

Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), formed by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has now become the focus of employment, reports BSS.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina puts special emphasis on creating new entrepreneurs by establishing new BSCIC industrial parks to further expand its activities and promote new entrepreneurs,” BSCIC Chairman Md. Mostaq Hassan said here today.
The BSCIC chief said this at a views-sharing meeting organised by Nilphamari BSCIC office at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner as the chief guest.
After the meeting, the BSCIC Chairman along with officials, industrialists and entrepreneurs visited the probable site for a proposed new Nilphamari BSCIC industrial park in Notkhana and Songolshi areas under Nilphamari Sadar upazila.
Presided over by Nilphamari Deputy Commissioner Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury, Director of BSCIC Md. Khalilur Rahman, its Rajshahi and Rangpur Regional Director Tamanna Rahman and Nilphamari District Council Chairman Joynal Abedin addressed the meeting as special guests.
Deputy Director (Local Government) for Nilphamari Abdul Motaleb Hossain Sarker, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-General) Azaharul Islam, ADC (Revenue) Khondker Nahid Hassan, Manager of Nilphamari BSCIC Hosne Area Khatun and President of Nilphamari Chamber of Commerce and Industry Maruf Zaman Koyel spoke.
The BSCIC chief said a new BSCIC industrial park will be established in Nilphamari in next two years keeping in view the idea of the Prime Minister for enlisting interested new entrepreneurs to provide them with facilities for investment there.
He sought all-out cooperation and assistance of the local chamber of commerce and industries, industrialists and entrepreneurs to attain the objectives.
