Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) launched a drive against illegal vehicles without route permits, fitness and other papers through mobile courts in Chattogram on Tuesday.
A total of 16 vehicles were fined Tk 60,900 in the drive. Besides, four vehicles were dumped.
Mishkatul Tamanna, Executive Magistrate of BRTA Mobile Court-12 led this operation in Fouzdarhat area of Sitakunda in Chattogram.
Assistant Director (Engineering) of BRTA Ctg Metro Circle-2 Md Omor Faruk, Motor Vehicle Inspector Palash Khisha, Motor Vehicle Inspectors of Zila Circle Md Abdul Matin and Md Mehedi Ikbal were present during the drive. Traffic Police of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) cooperated in the drive.
