British High Commissioner in Dhaka Robert Dickson on Thursday remembered the extraordinary role of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the history of Bangladesh and of the world, report agencies.
"On the 44th anniversary of his tragic assassination I remember with the deepest respect the extraordinary role of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the history of Bangladesh and of the world," the envoy tweeted.
He also shared a photo where Bangabandhu was seen in Downing Street at his historic meeting with Prime Minister Edward Heath.
