The British Council has invited students from Bangladesh to attend the "Study UK" pre-departure briefing on July 29 from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
This virtual event is designed to provide essential guidance on everything from obtaining a student visa to settling into university life in the UK for students who have received an offer to study at a UK higher education institution.
During the session, aspiring students will gain essential knowledge and practical tools to kickstart their education journey in the UK on the right foot, said a media release on Wednesday.
The session will feature representatives from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), UK universities, and the British Universities' International Liaison Association (BUILA), alongside current students and recent alumni who will share their lived experiences of studying in the UK.
The briefing will also shed light on topics including tips on packing, budgeting, travel arrangements, and adjusting to life abroad, as well as information on accessing UK healthcare services, insurance, and mental health support for international students.
Apart from that, representatives from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) will offer up-to-date information on the student visa process and answer student queries, while current students and recent graduates will also share their live experiences of studying in the UK, offering practical advice and guidance.
