Tom Miscioscia, country director of British Council; has paid a courtesy call on Vice-Chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed.
The meeting was held in the conference room of the administration building on the campus in Sylhet Wednesday afternoon.
During the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed highlighted the overall situation in the university and expressed the hope of exchanging mutual cooperation in education and research with the British Council.
He said that a large part of SUST graduates have been appointed as teachers in this university. They are also leading other universities in home and abroad.

At this time, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Laila Ashrafun, Professor Dr. Md. Akhtarul Islam, Head of Department of English Professor Dr. Shamim Al Mamun, Professor Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam were also present.
