Under the inspiring slogan “I have crossed eighteen, I can cross mountains too”, the ‘Sapna Sarathi Graduation 2025’ ceremony was held in Ulipur, Kurigram. The event took place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday in the hall room of BRAC’s local area office, organised by BRAC’s Social Empowerment and Legal Protection Programme.
The ceremony was presided over by BRAC Branch Manager (Dabi) Ruhul Amin. The event was conducted by programme officer Majedul Islam. Among the speakers were Principal Hafiz Md. Ruhul Amin, Head Teacher Mominul Islam, Sub-Inspector Babul Hossain, and teacher and journalist Sajjadul Islam Saju. Two teenage girls, Suraiya Akter Anicha and Rikta Rani, also shared their personal experiences and reflections as members of the Sapna Sarathi initiative.
The highlight of the event was the recognition of 23 girls from 10 Sapna Sarathi teams who have recently turned 18. Each was presented with a flower bouquet, a certificate of graduation, and a BRAC-branded mug bearing the slogan “I have crossed eighteen, I can cross mountains too.” The event began with all guests being welcomed with flowers as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement.
The programme celebrates the journey of adolescent girls towards empowerment and adulthood.
