The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has awarded BRAC Bank Limited with “ICMAB Best Corporate Awards 2018”.
BRAC Bank got the second position in the Private Commercial Bank Category for its Annual Report 2018 and for its contribution to corporate governance. This is an outstanding achievement for BRAC Bank as the bank has secured ICMAB award three years in a row.
Planning Minister MA Mannan, MP formally handed over the award to BRAC Bank’s Deputy Managing Director & CFO M. Masud Rana FCA at the award ceremony at InterContinental Hotel on December 15, 2019. Commerce Secretary Dr. Md Jafar Uddin, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission Prof. Dr. M. Khairul Hossain, ICMAB President M Abul Kalam Mazumdar and Financial Reporting Council Chairman CQK Mustaq Ahmed were present.
On winning the award, BRAC Bank’s Managing Director & CEO Selim R. F. Hussain said: “At BRAC Bank, good governance, compliance, ethics and transparency are the cornerstone of our business model. This recognition from ICMAB for three consecutive years reflect strong bearing of our corporate governance culture, transparency, ethics and compliance.”
