BRAC Bank recently organized the SME Leaders' Conference 2023 to formulate a business plan and strategy for SME Banking in 2023 and beyond.
The conference aimed to align the bank's SME Banking leaders with its long-term business strategy, capitalizing on its extensive experience, nationwide presence and dedicated SME team.
The Managing Director & CEO Selim R. F. Hussain inaugurated the conference at The Palace in Hobiganj on February 24.
The CEO expressed his gratitude to the bank's SME team for building a robust SME business that currently constitutes the single most extensive portfolio in BRAC Bank's asset book. He credited the team's talent and commitment to the bank's status as the country's largest financier of collateral-free SME loans.
The conference was organized to instill the management's SME business strategy in the people and to acknowledge their outstanding effort. The CEO was confident that the bank's talented team would break new ground in SME Banking in the coming days.
The event was attended by Deputy Managing Director (DMD) & Head of SME Banking Syed Abdul Momen, who praised the SME team's capability and future potential, citing their achievement of serving 10 lakh SME customers and disbursing BDT 1 lakh crore SME loans in the bank's 21 years of operation.
He was optimistic that the bank would continue to achieve outstanding business growth and take SME to new heights, and the conference was an occasion to celebrate their success and streamline future SME roadmap.
