BRAC Bank Agent Partner stands beside cold-hit people

Inspired by the social welfare activities of BRAC Bank, an Agent Banking partner of the bank has come forward to give back to society at a time when people badly need help.

BRAC Bank Agent Partner Wajed Ali in Keshabpur of Jashore district has distributed blankets among the disadvantaged people of the community. 

Ali distributed 200 blankets in Bhandarkhola and Hasanpur adjacent to his agent outlet. With this token initiative, he spread warmth and care in his surrounding community as a cold spell swept across the country. 

Wajed Ali became an Agent Partner of BRAC Bank more than three years ago. Since then, he became aware of the bank’s values and CSR operations, which inspired him to contribute to society.

A self-made businessman, Ali, said: “I was pleased to have been associated with BRAC Bank, whose commitment to serving the underserved has inspired me. I was also happy to see that the bank contributes blankets to the disadvantaged every year during winter. I also commit myself to helping the society where I live and do business in the future.”

Principal of Panjia Degree College Md. Ruhul Amin was the chief guest at the blanket distribution ceremony on January 4, 2023. In-charge of Keshabpur Unit Office of the bank Mamunur Rashid, and senior officials were present.
