Bangladesh Railway (BR) on Saturday fined 560 passengers of seven trains Tk 1 lakh 26 thousand for travelling without tickets from Ishwardi Junction railway station in Pabna.
Pakshi divisional railway manger (DRM) Shah Sufi Nur Mohammad and executive magistrate Md Nurujjaman and other BR officials conducted the special ticket checking drives from morning to evening on Saturday.
Shah Sufi Nur Mohammad said: "Most of the people fined were travelling without tickets, and some have entered the platform
illegally."
