M A Alim Ripon, Sujanagar Upazila correspondent for Daily Jugantor and English daily The Bangladesh Post, has been awarded the “Best Reporter of the Year 2025” for his outstanding contribution to journalism.
The award was recently conferred during Dainik Sinsa's 20th anniversary celebration at the VIP Conference Hall of Pabna Press Club.
Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, Special Assistant to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, handed over the award as chief guest. The event was chaired by educationist Alhaj Mahatab Uddin Biswas and hosted by Sinsa Editor S.M. Mahbub Alam.
Notable guests included Pabna Press Club President Akhtaruzzaman Akhtar, Additional SP Md. Shariful Islam, Prof. Iftekhar Mahmud, former principal of Kushtia Medical College, and others.
Ripon began his journalism career in 1999 with Dainik Ichamoti and has served with several national and regional dailies. He currently serves as General Secretary of Sujanagar Press Club and has received multiple honors for investigative and humanitarian reporting, including two CLS awards in 2011 and 2015.
