A teenage boy was crushed under the wheels of a train in Jhenidah's Kotchandpur upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was Fahad Hossain, 14, son of Kuwait ecpatriate Abdus Samad Sardar, a resident of Rangiarpota village under the upazila. He was a seventh grader at Mofez Uddin Secondary School.
Locals said the schoolboy was going to a field from home riding on a motorcycle to fetch corn leaves in the morning. When he reached at a rail crossing, a Chilahati-bound train from Khulna Khulna ran over him. He died on the spot.
