The country’s two bourses will resume trading and settlement on Sunday in line with the government decision of ending the around two-month long general holidays in view of the coronavirus outbreak, reports BSS.

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) today approved the bourses’ plan at a meeting at BSEC in the city, according to a BSEC press release.

The stock exchanges must comply with social distancing and hygiene rules during trading, settlement and office work, said the release. As per a press release of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), considering the interests of investors, DSE will conduct all transactions from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm from Sunday. DSE, as well as the brokerage offices, will follow health safety measures as per the health regulations of the Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

Both exchanges had their last trading sessions on March 25.
