Inauguration of boro paddy procurement program has been held at Ruhia Government Food Warehouse in Thakurgaon on Sunday. The program is a part of government’s internal food grain procurement activities.
Ruhia thana Awami League president Partho Sarathi Sen formally inaugurated the boro paddy procurement at the Upazila Food Warehouse premises in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila on Sunday morning.
Naeem Ahmed, an official of Ruhia Food Warehouse, said that 886 metric tons of boro paddy, 3138.960 metric tonnes of rice were procured in the warehouse. Rice and paddy will be bought at Tk 36 and Tk 26 per kg respectively.
