National Award-winning cinematographer, writer, and director, Saikat Nasir based his film, "Border", around the lives of the people living in the border areas of the country. The film underwent some changes recently, being renamed to "Sultanpur" and re-edited to pass the censor board clearance.

Earlier, "Border" was submitted to the Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB) on August 22, but could not clear the censor board, with BFCB saying the movie was "unsuitable for screening".

After re-editing and renaming the film, the director finally received clearance from the censor board. Nasir even informed the media that the censor board praised the film after it had been reworked.

The story of "Sultanpur" follows the lives of people who reside near the Bangladesh-India border, and operate as smugglers in that region. Promising actor Adhora Khan will be seen playing the lead role in the film—taking on the role of the daughter of an influential village-leader near the border.

Apart from Adhora Khan, the film has also cast Ashish Khondker, Suman Farooq, Sanj John, Rashed Mamun Apu and Moumita Mou, among others.

"Sultanpur" is expected to be released in theatres in January of next year.
