Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi on Monday said a border haat will be established at the Mizoram frontier in a bid to enhance trade relationship between the people of India's Mizoram state and Bangladesh.
He said already a proposal has come Mizoram about developing a border hat at the Sazek point of the frontier of Bangladesh and Silsuri of Mizoram.
Minister said both the countries have come to consensus in this regard and off course there have a bright trade potentials between Bangladesh and Mizoram.
Commerce Minister made remarks in a joint press conference with Mizoram's Industries and Commerce Minister after signing a joint statement at the conference hall of Mizoram.
Replying media queries, Commerce Minister said Bangladesh today has become a role model of development, there have bright prospect of enhancing trade among the neighbouring countries of Bangladesh like other countries.
Senior officials of the government of Mizoram state were also present on the occasion.
