Bangladesh National Football team will take on India in their second-leg match of the joint qualifiers round two for FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2022 at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, Qatar at 8:00 pm on Monday. In the world cup-qualifying matches, Bangladesh played their last encounter against Afghanistan on Thursday. The encounter ended as 1-1 stalemate.

Booters tried their level best to win over Afghanistan but luck did not favour them. Especially strikers missed the golden chance to convert the goal into The Lions of Khorasan.

Head Coach Jamie Day expressed his satisfaction to the players. He said, “The team played very well and I think we will follow the same tactics against India,"

“Team spirit is our motto. If we can play rightly and control the position then we have a great chance to win over India. The team may remain unchanged against India,” Day said

"I personally don't think we can attack better teams and players from the start although another coach may have a different approach. I think it is better to be in the game for 90 minutes than for the match to be over in 45 because we are two or three goals down," opined Jamie.

The national team 1-1 draw at the Salt Lake stadium in on October 15, 2019 in the first leg against India though the men in red and green had a lot of chance to the outings.

"It's a great achievement to draw against a strong team like Afghanistan. But the players were very positive. If they maintain the same position, so there is a chance to win over India,” added Day. Booters want to win over India and they are ready to action in the field. It will be very tough match but if we can better perform our and don’t mistake, I hope we can win.”

Captain Jamal Bhuiyan expressed his view.
