Booters to play Kyrgyzstan in first match

Bangladesh will play their opening match against Kyrgyzstan U-23 team in the tri-nation invitational tournament that will begin from March 23 at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has taken all sorts of preparation to organise the tri-nation invitational tournament that will be held from March 23 to 29 in Kathmandu.

Bangladesh will play its second match on March 27 against host Nepal while Nepal will meet Kyrgyzstan on March 25. The top two teams will play the final slated on March 29.

The boys in red and green leave for Nepal Thursday (March 18) to take part in the tournament with an aim to become champions.

Although Bangladesh team’s head coach Jamie Day has been saying from the beginning that the tournament will be a test for his boys in the remaining three matches of the June FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Some new faces have been picked up for the tournament in Nepal tour and it’s a perfect platform for them to prove themselves in this stage, he added.

Meanwhile, the All Nepal Football Association has confirmed that all the matches of the three nation tournament will be played under lights at Dasharath Stadium.
