Booters begin practice in KSA

Bangladesh national football team started their practice session at Kings Fahd Sports City Complex, Taif (a city in the Mecca Province), on Sunday at 5 p.m. (local time). Booters reached the Saudi Arabian city at the same time in the wee hour at 3:30 a.m.   

Earlier on Saturday afternoon, the Bangladesh national team left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia to have a two-week-long preparatory camp in Saudi Arabia. ssAfter conducting the training camp in Saudi Arabia, the Bangladesh national team will fly to Kuwait on March 17 to play their away matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and Asian Cup Qualifiers 2027 against Palestine on March 21 at the Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City.

The Bangladesh national team will return home from Kuwait on March 22 and is scheduled to play their home match against Palestine on March 26 in Dhaka.

The Red and Green played two World Cup Qualifier matches against Australia and Lebanon in Group I. 

Jamal Bhuyan suffered a 0-7 goal defeat in their away match against hosts Australia on November 16, 2023, and drew 1-1 with Lebanon in their home match in Dhaka on November 21, 2023.

Earlier, Bangladesh earned the rights to play six matches of the FIFA World Cup and Asian Cup Qualifiers on a home and away basis after eliminating the Maldives with a 1-1 draw in the away match in Male and winning the home match by 1-0 in the Round 1 matches.
