Under SAFTA agreement, Kolkata film Jaanbaaz is being released today in 40 theaters of Bangladesh. Bonny Sengupta and Koushani Mukherjee played the lead roles in the film. The film was imported by Dhaka Heartbeat Production. In exchange, the production house’s film ‘Mone Rekho’ was sent to West Bengal.
'Jaanbaaz' was released in West Bengal on October 25 on the occasion of Diwali. The story of this movie revolves around a coal mine. The film was produced by Eco Entertainment. Anup Sengupta, father of lead actor Bonny Sengupta, directed the movie. Besides Bonny and Koushani, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Shankar Chakraborty, Sudip and others acted in the film. Heartbeat owner Tapashi Thakur said, ‘We selected the big cinema halls in the country to release ‘Jaanbaaz’. I hope the film will fare well at the box office.’
Producer-distrubutor Tapashi Thakur said that the film is being shown at Dhaka’s Modhumita, Balaka, Jonaki, BGB, Chitramahal, Asia, Punom, Purobi and Anondo. Outside of Dhaka, it is being shown at Jessore Manihor, Sylhet Nandita and BGB, Rangpur’s Shapla, Khulna’s Chitrali and other big cinema halls.
