Bogura district Police stand beside the triplets qualified for admission to the Medical Colleges. Superintendent of Police (promoted as Addl DIG) Sudip Kumar Chakravarty has pledged to pay the fees for admission of two brothers and would assist the other brother as he has already been admitted to Medical College last year.
SP Sudip Kumar exchanged views with the brothers and their mother at the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) on Saturday noon. During this time, two brothers Mafiul Hasan, Shafiul Hasan and their mother Arjina Begum were present.
SP welcomed the brothers and their mother with a floral tribute and assured them of all sorts of assistance including the admission fees of the two brothers, Additional Superintendent of Police of Snigdha Akhter, Motahar Hossain and the Officer-in-Charge of Dhunat Police Station Saikat Hasan were present during this time.
Shafiul Hasan said they were able to qualify for medical admission by studying from a remote rural area. It is because of their mother's tireless effort and hardship that three of them have been qualified for Medical Admission. He expressed gratitude to the Superintendent of Police.
Mafiul Hasan also said he had no language to express his sensation that the Superintendent of Police himself had called them to his office. It was very joyous for them. He said the assurance and the presentation of the SP will inspire them to step forward.
SP Sudi Kumar Chakravarty BPM informed the fatherless triplets have been succeeded for the relentless effort of their mother. It is a bright instinct for our society. He hoped, by studying hard, they would turn to good physicians and would employ themselves for the service of humanity.
He said the district police and he will always remain beside the triplets.It is learnt, three triplets Mafiul Hasan, Shafiul Hasan and Rafiul Hasan of village Bothuabari under Dhunat Upazila of Bogura were born in November-30,2004.
Their parents Golam Mostafa was a school teacher and their mother Arjina Begum a housewife. In 2009 their father died of heart disease, without getting proper treatment in 2009 leaving his wife and three triplets.
Their mother Arjina Begum bears the cost of the education of the children by selling her land. The orphans at the age of five turn succeeded with the relentless hardship of their mother and their attentiveness to study. She had to sell five bighas of land and some properties near her homesteads to manage families and the cost of study of her sons.
All three brothers appeared for Medical Admission tests last year but only Mafiul was qualified and was admitted to Shahid Shohrawardi Medical College in Dhaka.
This year Shafiul got a chance to Dinajpur Medical College and his brother to Noakhali Medical College.
They passed their SSC with GPA-5 from Dhunat Nabir Uddin Pilot High School and HSC from Bogura Shah Sultan Government College.
