Body recovered from Kishoreganj Haor

Himel's body was recovered by fire service divers 16 hours after he went missing while taking a bath in Kishoreganj's Haor. His body was recovered from 20 to 25 feet away from Hasanpur Bridge in Karimganj and Mithamin Haor on Thursday (14 July) morning. After the rescue, the surrounding area was heavy with the cries of the relatives. Tanjib Sarwar Himel (26) is the son of Kamal Mia of village Gaital Sreenagar under Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila of the district.

According to sources, on Wednesday, Himel went to Haor with his parents and younger brother on the occasion of Eid. In the evening, two brothers entered the water to bathe under Hasanpur Bridge in Karimganj and Mithamin Haor. 

When the two brothers dived into the water to take a bath, Himel was drowned by the strong current. After 16 hours of disappearance, the fire service diving team found Himel's body floating 20 to 25 feet away from Hasanpur Bridge. Himel's body was brought to Kishoreganj after recovery. His funeral was held at 2 pm on Thursday.

Karimganj Police Station OC (Investigation) Joynal Abedin said Himel's body was recovered from the Karimganj border of Hasanpur Bridge by a fire service diving team. Necessary legal action has been taken in this case.
