Body of youth recovered in Sonaimuri

Police have recovered the body of a young man named Titu Chandra Das (19) from Banglabazar of Nadna Union in Sonaimuri Upazila of Noakhali.

The body of the deceased was sent to the morgue of Noakhali General Hospital for autopsy on Thursday morning. Earlier, the body was recovered from the second floor of Banglabazar Mohammad Ullah Building around 10pm on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Titu Chandra Das, son of Jiban Chandra Das of Naotla village in Manoharganj upazila of Comilla district.

According to local sources, Titu had been living with his family for the last 10 years on the second floor of Mohammad Ullah Building in Banglabazar, Sonaimuri. He used to work in a clothes shop in the market. On Tuesday morning, mother Jharna Rani went to visit her village home in Comilla. After his mobile phone was switched off from Wednesday afternoon till night, he went back home from Comilla and saw Titu's body hanging by the window with a room fan. Upon receiving the news, Sonaimuri police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for autopsy.

Sonaimuri Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harun Aur Rashid confirmed the matter and said that it was initially known that Titu had committed suicide. An unnatural death case has been filed in the incident.
