Body of an unidentified old man was recovered from the footpath in-front of Gulistan stadium market on Thursday afternoon.
The body was brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 2:45.
Paltan Thana Sub-Inspector Bijan Kumar Biswas said, ‘Being informed, we recovered the body from in-front of the Stadium market of Gulistan in the capital. The body was kept at DMCH morgue but the identity of the deceased could not be known immediately’.
Locals said that the old man used to beg. He might have been died due to illness. The reason of death will be ascertained after receiving the post-mortem report, he added.
