The police in Kotchandpur of Jhenaidah recovered the body of a Dubai expat from a garden on Friday morning. The deceased was identified as Nupur Khatun, 30, wife of Mojammel Haque Bepari of Durgapur village in Kotchandpur police staion.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotchandpur police station Mahbubul Islam confirmed the recovery of the body of Nupur Khatun.
He said the locals found the body in a garden near Durgapur graveyard in the morning of Friday. The police recovered the body. Her eyes were gouged and throat was noosed.
The police quoting the family sources said Nupur left her house at about 8pm of Thursday. Since then she was untraced. Later the body was recovered from the garden.
Body of Nupur Khatun was sent to Jhenidah Sadar hospital morgue for post mortem examination. Police men are investigating the reason behind the killing of Nupur Khatun.
