Police recovered the body of a college boy from the under earth of an irrigation water supplying pump house at Shailkupa in Jhenaidah on Thursday night.
Police also detained three adolescents for their suspected involvement in killing the college boy Sujan Hossain, 20, son of Malaysia expat Zillur Rahman of Aushia village after four days of missing. Locals and family sources said Sujan left the house saying purchasing fertilizer from Shailkupa upazila headquarters on Sunday afternoon. Since then he was missing. A relative of Sujan filed a general diary with Shailkupa police station next day.
Shailkupa police staion officer I charge (OC) Jahangir Hossain said they detained two suspected adolescents Sakib and Nazmul on the day. They also detained another adolescent Hridoy. As per the statement of the detained three, the police recovered the body burried under the earth of an irrigation pump house in the village.
Police station OC said the detained might be involved in killing Sujan Hossain as they lend money from the victim which could not be repaid in time. Before the killing incident, Rakib;s younger brother Sakib brought Sujan from their house on a motorbike in the afternoon. Since then he was missing.
The police sent the body for post mortem examination to Jhenidah Sadar hospital morgue, OC said.
