Body of auto bike driver recovered

In Mymensingh, a battery-run auto bike driver has been killed again. The police recovered the body of a battery-powered auto bike driver with his hands and feet tied from the banks of Brahmaputra river near Zainul Abedin Park in the city. 

The deceased has been identified as Hasem Mia (28). He is the son of late Zahur Uddin of Dapunia Kalapara area of Sadar. The body was recovered on Friday (February 9) morning and sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Anwar Hossain said that people walking in the park saw the body of the young man lying on the bank of Brahmaputra river in the morning and informed the police station. 

Later, the police recovered the body.

He also said that Hashem Mia had gone out in an auto-rickshaw on Thursday night. His talked with his family around 12 pm.

 He did not return home after that. Police recovered the body around 7am on Friday. It is believed that the miscreants left the body on the bank of the Brahmaputra after stabbing him to death by tying his hands and feet to rob an autorickshaw. Police are working to arrest the killers.
