Khulna district administration distributed food items among boatmen who have become unemployed due to corona virus spread in Khulna on Satutday.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain, at the initiative of district administration under the 'Private Humanitarian Assistance Cell' distributed rice, pulse, oil, potato, salt soap masks and other ccommodities among 200 boatmen and trawler drivers at various docks of Rupsa river in Khulna.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain said that people who have not yet received government assistance through public representatives, and especially the lower middle class people who are reluctant to stand in front of the public are being delivered these essential food items in their homes under the 'Private Humanitarian Assistance Cell'.
Maintaining social distance and avoiding human gathering 300 youth volunteer in Khulna, under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner, have been working to provide the necessary food items to people's houses.
Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah and Additional Deputy Commissioner Ziaur Rahman were present during the distribution of food items.
