Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) organized ‘Fun Run’ rally in Dhaka on Wednesday concerning upcoming 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China.
As the Asian Games is knocking at the door, the fun run program was organized in the Asian countries by the joint initiative of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Asian Games Organizing Committee (AGOC).
Bangladesh Olympic Association also organized a colorful rally with a festive mood when it was started at 7:30 am from Bangladesh Shishu Academy premises and ended at the Sheikh Russel Roller Sketting Complex at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Players organisers, students of different school and colleges, athletes from the services teams – Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Air Force, Bangladesh Police, Ansar VDP, Bangladesh National Sports Council (NSC) and representatives from China Embassy joined in the grand rally with a five-member delegation comprising -- Jian Zhou (director of media and broadcast), Ramireddy Kona (photographer), Sanshan Meng (deputy director of finance department), Chunling Zhang (deputy chief of general affairs, finance department) and Shijie Xia (south Asian coordinator) -- from OCA and Hangzhou AGOC also joined the rally.
The main objective of this event is to reach the message and harmony of the Asian Games by connecting people of the participating Countries.
Secretary General of BOA Shahed Reja Chowdhury opened the rally along with treasurer and 19th Asian Games chef di mission AK Sarkar was present.
The Asian Games competition event has been finalized when a total of 40 sports, 61 disciplines and 483 events will be held at the games.
