BNP wants to give political shape to quota protest

BNP leaders’ latest statements regarding anti-quota protests indicate that a fresh deep-rooted conspiracy is being hatched to create unrest and political strife in the country deliberately when the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government continued taking the country towards prosperity. The plot seems to be part of a conspiracy to make the country unstable after the January 7 general elections.

Conspiracies are hatched regularly and the government overcomes them. BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has called upon the students to engage themselves in the movement for restoring democracy and getting back the voting rights of people alongside their ongoing agitation for quota reforms in the government services.

However, it is known to all that such statements by the BNP are futile and the party will not reap any benefit by instigating the students. Now it is clear to all that BNP wants to turn the anti-quota movement into anti-government agitations.

Some

elements try to give the anti-quota

movement

a political shape

The government should never allow them to do it. It is all part of a conspiracy to unleash terror and anarchy across the country, but the plot has already been exposed to intelligence and law enforcement agencies.

People would like to see the government dealing squarely with evil forces and preventing conspiracies that are being hatched to dent the image of the country. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner and Detective Branch Chief Harun- Or Rashid said intruders have entered into the quota movement to divert it towards different directions. Some elements try to give the anti-quota movement a political shape.

The government should take legal action if anyone tries to capitalise on the emotions of innocent students and tries to create anarchy across the country. BNP’s initial plan was to foil the National Polls, but  Sheikh Hasina has set an example of holding a free and fair national election with 41.8 percent voter turnout. BNP has many masters or mentors abroad and the party is still working under their directions.

An evil force inside the country again wants to overthrow the government through conspiracy both at national and international levels. They will try to resort to violence to disturb the peaceful atmosphere now prevailing in the country. The anti-liberation and communal forces along with BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami are now very active across the country to destroy the peaceful atmosphere and democratic process as well.
