An empty passenger bus of Eagle Paribahan parked by the road adjacent to Abdullahpur in the city’s Uttara area was set on fire on Saturday night. Besides, leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party allegedly carried out attacks and set fire on at least eight buses in the capital during a series of clashes with cops on Friday.

Apart from this, a sub-inspector of police in the city’s Dholaikhal intersection area and an Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Siddhirganj police station of Narayanganj district were beaten up indiscriminately on the same day. It needs to be mentioned that in the nationwide violence including arson and petrol bomb attacks carried out by the BNP-Jamaat clique from 2014 to 2015 in the name of so-called movement killed about 500 innocent people and injured over 3600 others.

The people met the tragic end of their lives in BNP-Jamaat petrol bomb attack on passenger buses and other vehicles across the country. After assuming power in 2001, BNP attacked houses of Awami League leaders, activists and supporters and conducted inhuman torture including rape like the Pakistani occupation forces of 1971.

The

anti-liberation forces are

hatching

conspiracies and killing

innocent people

The High Court banned broadcast, publication and dissemination of speeches and statements of BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman, who is convict in several cases. But, Tarique is making contempt of court. He (Tarique) is insulting Supreme Court and High Court with very abusive languages.

The anti-liberation and communal forces along with BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami get very active across the country ahead of the country’s every national election. All should recall the most brutal murder and arson attack in our history and renew the pledge to safeguard the country’s independence and sovereignty.

Like in the past, the BNP-Jamaat alliance is now desperate to turn Bangladesh into a new Pakistan again, but we believe country’s people would not let that happen. We people imbued with the spirit of the Liberation War have to remain alert against the communal forces so that they could not launch arson and petrol bomb attacks on passenger vehicles.  Being benefitted politically, the anti-liberation forces are always hatching conspiracies and killing innocent people. Therefore, the pro-liberation forces must devote themselves for the betterment of the country and thwart anti-state conspiracies unitedly. We believe there would be no compromise with the descendants of the anti- liberation forces as they are out to carry out arson and petrol bomb attack on common people to grab the state power through clandestine alleyways.
