The 47th founding anniversary of BNP was celebrated in Kalia of Narail in a colorful and festive mood on Saturday evening.
Chief advisor to Ziaur Rahman Foundation, BNP leader Dr Ahmed Shafiqul Haider Parvez spoke the function as chief guest.
Kalia upazila and Municipality BNP organised the programme at College mor bus stand area. BNP and Zia Parishad leader Professor B.M. Nagib Hussain, BNP leader Lt. Col. (retd.) Sajjad Hossain, BNP leader Principal Sukesh Saha Ananda spoke as special guests. General Secretary of Texas State BNP in United States, Zahirul Islam Zahir was present as chief speaker. Kalia Upazila unit BNP President Sardar Anwar Hossain presided over the function. Former Mayor of Narail Municipality Zulfiqar Ali Mandol, Kalia Poura BNP Secretary Selim Reza Yusuf, Md. Mahinur Islam among others spoke the function.
Speakers said, BNP’s founder Shaheed president Ziaur Rahman opened up democracy for the people. He founded BNP is not just a political party, it is an uncompromising platform for the restoration of democracy in Bangladesh. The speakers called on every leader and worker of the party to be ready to establish the people's voting rights and restore the rule of law. The leaders announced that everyone would work together to make the symbol of the sheaf of Paddy victorious in the upcoming national elections.
Booklets on the implementation of 31-point plan to repair the state structure announced by Tarique Rahman were distributed among the leaders and workers in the programme.
