To commemorate the 47th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bogura district BNP organised various programmes on Monday. A grand rally set off from Altafunnesa Sports Ground in the afternoon, parading through different streets of the town. Party leaders and activists participated with much enthusiasm, waving party and national flags, playing musical instruments, and dancing to celebratory tunes.
Prior to the rally, a gathering was held at the sports ground, where Bogura district BNP president Rezaul Karim Badsha delivered a speech. BNP Chairperson’s Adviser and former MP Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, Advocate AKM Mahbubur Rahman, VP Saiful Islam, Ali Azgar Talukder Hena, Zainal Abedin Chan, Kazi Rafiqul Islam, Haji Mosharraf Hossain, Ahsanul Tayyeb Zakir, MR Islam Swadhin, Hamidul Haque Chowdhury Hiru, Maftun Ahmed Khan Rubel, Touhidul Alam Mamun, Sheikh Taha Uddin Nahin, Moniruzzaman Moni, Shahidunnabi Salam, KM Khairul Bashar, Zahidul Islam Helal and others also addressed the gathering and were present.
Earlier in the morning, the party flag was hoisted at the BNP office on Nawabbari Road, and floral tributes were placed at the portrait of party founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. At 10:30am, free medical services were inaugurated at the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Children’s Hospital in Dattabari, supported by DAB Bogura, where underprivileged patients received treatment and medicines throughout the day.
