Mentioning that there is no shortage of electricity in the country, Awami League joint general secretary Mahabub-ul- Alam Hanif today said BNP is spreading falsehood regarding electricity as they are not finding anything to say against the incumbent government.
BNP could not add even one megawatt of electricity while they were in power.
To cover up this failure and incompetence, they are now spreading falsehood against the development spree of the current government.
He said this while attending a workshop as the chief guest on Bangabandhu, Independence and Bangladesh organised by Bajrakantha Youth Society at Kushtia Shilpakala Academy this afternoon.
"BNP is a communal party and Jamaat is corresponding them . . . they are just the opposite sides of the same coin," he said.
Hanif also said that after killing Bangabandhu in 1975, Major Zia incited communal aggression in the country by including religion in the constitution.
Member of Parliament of Kushtia Daulatpur Constituency AKM Sarwar Jahan Badsha, Zila Parishad Administrator Haji Rabiul Islam, Joint General Secretary of District Awami League Sheikh Hasan Mehedi, Organizing Secretary Mazharul Alam Sumon, Barrister Gaurav Chaki, among others, were present on the occasion.
