BNP-Jamaat caders on Sunday allegedly torched another passenger bus in Mirpur-10 Circle of Dhaka on the first day of the thirds round of countrywide 48-hour blockade.
According to Talha Bin Jashim, station officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence's media cell, the arson attack on a bus of “Projapoti Paribahan” at the busy Mirpur 10 Circle was reported around 1:13 pm.
Earlier, nine arson attacks were reported across the country from 8pm last night to 6am on Sunday.
A total of 152 platoons Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed across the country aiming to keep the law and order situation under control.
Of those, 27 platoons deployed in the capital and its adjacent areas to protect the law and order situation”, the release added.
In addition to this, adequate number of forces has also been kept standby.
Besides, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has deployed 460 patrol teams in the country. Of those, 160 teams have been deployed in the capital, said ANM Imran Khan, media officer-2 of the RAB headquarters.
