BNP holds victory procession in Gopalganj

The leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its allied organisations held a large victory procession at Muksudpur Upazila in Gopalganj district on Tuesday.

Sheikh Hasina resigned from the position of Prime Minister and fled the country in the face of mass uprising on Monday. The leaders of BNP and its allied organisations brought out a huge victory procession with the national flag in their hands in front of Muksudpur Sadar Sonali Bank at 11:00am following the incident.

They chanted various slogans at the procession. They gave salute to all the martyrs, observed one minute silence in their memory and performed the national anthem at that time. Later, they paraded the main road of the upazila and came back in front of Sonali Bank again where they held a discussion.

President of Upazila BNP Abdus Salam Khan, general secretary Tarikul Islam Raju, president of municipality BNP Abul Boshar Tultu Bishwash, general secretary Mashiur Rahman Mintu, member secretary of Upazila Jubodal Mahfuz Hasan, joint convener Kamruzzaman Swapon, convener of municipality Jubodol Ruhul Amin, convener of Upazila Shecchashebakdal Mehedi Hassan Biplob, member secretary Kaiyum Munshi, joint conveners Mostafa Gazi, Naeem Sheikh, Rajib Sharif, Dalim Sheikh, Kazi Hasib, president of Upazila Chatrodal Habibur Rahman Roin, general secretary Jubair Hossain, organizing secretary Kazi Nayan and others were present at that time.
