More than half a hundred activists were injured in clashes with the police over BNP's protest march and rally in Pakundia. A clash took place in Syedgaon Chowrasta area in Pakundia Pourashava on Saturday morning (03 September).
Pakundia Upazila BNP convenor Advocate Jalal Uddin said, "We were holding a peaceful program as part of the central program across the country to protest against the increase in the prices of fuel oil and other commodities. But the police attacked our activists and police fired tearshells to disperse the march. Hundreds of our leaders and workers were injured.
Kishoreganj Sadar Circle Additional Police Super Md. Al Amin confirmed this.
