Bangladesh Minority Janata Party (BMJP) has announced that the party has no relation with the BN-led 20-party alliance. Chairman of the party Shyamal Kumar Roy said this at a press conference held at the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Earlier on November 8, three parties joined the BNP-led alliance. Bangladesh Minority Janata Party is one of the parities.
BMJP chairman said that only a few members of his party joined the BNP-led alliance violating the party’s rule. The BMJP did not join the alliance, he added.
Shyamol Kumar said his party has decided to expel Sukriti Kumar Mondol from the post of its general secretary and general member for his anti-disciplinary activities.
He said that his party is pledge-bound to protect the interest of the minority community of the country. They firmly believe that the support of the religious minorities of the country will be in favour of the pro-liberation political forces in the next general election, he added.
BMJP Senior vice president Chitta Ranjan Kar, Acting general secretary Goutam Kumar Edbor, Ranjit Kumar Mirdha, Pius Dipok Pirij, Sanjoy Ghosh, Probhash Mondol, were present, among others.
