BMA President Mostafa Jalal tests Covid-19 positive

Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) President Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin has been tested positive for coronavirus positive.
He is currently taking treatment at the Labaid Hospital in Dhaka.

“His oxygen saturation level and other vital signs related to Covid19 are good now. He is stable. Please keep him in your prayers,” Prof Iqbal Arslan, President of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) told Bangladesh Post on Tuesday.

Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin was the founding general secretary of Swachip. He was the president of the Bangladesh Chhatra League in the late 70s during the difficult time after the murder of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975.

He is currently an executive member of the ruling Awami League.
Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin was an MP from Dhaka-7 seat between 2009 and 2013.

Prof Arslan said he had been suffering from fever and cough since Friday, symptoms of Covid19.
