Blankets were distributed among 500 underprivileged cold-hit people in front of Ishwardi Press Club in Pabna, at the initiative of ‘All Community Club Limited Gulshan Dhaka’ on Sunday morning.
A brief discussion meeting was held at the time. Ishwardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer PM Imrul Kayes addressed the function as the chief guest while, Officer-in-Charge of Ishwardi Police Station Sheikh Nasir Uddin spoke as the special guest.
Ashraf Ali Khan Monju, Director of All Community Club Limited Gulshan Dhaka presided over the function. Ishwardi correspondent of Daily Samakal Selim Sardar coordinated the distribution of winter clothes and delivered the welcome speech.
Chief guest PM Imrul Kayes said, those who do not forget the helpless, poor people after becoming successful in life are the actual human beings. People live and dream because of these good people. He urged all wealthy people of the country to come forward in the service of the helpless people of the society.
