‘Black-marketing of train tickets will be prevented’

Chittagong Railway District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury said black marketers of train tickets would be prevented. Besides, effective steps will be taken to stop throwing stones at trains, prevent passenger travel without tickets, stop drugs and smuggling on trains. 

He said this while addressing a coordination meeting at the conference room of Chittagong Railway Police Super on Monday.

Bangladesh Railway Police Chattogram arranged the meeting to curb down the crime rate specially in the eastern zone of the country. Officials of related department attended the meeting at Chattogram Police Conference Hall. 

Chattogram Railway Police Super Md Hasan Chowdhury presided over the meeting. Divisional Trade Officer of Bangladesh Railway Chattogram Md Ansar Ali, NRB AC Satyajit Das, Chatogram Railway Station Manager Ratan Kumar Chowdhury, Laksam TTE Dr Md Aminul Islam, Chattogram TI Enamul Haque Sikdar, Laksam TI Mohiuddin Patwari and other railway officials along with railway police officers were present at the discussion. 

Officials in the meeting discussed about the actions to be taken against drug smuggling, transportation without ticket and other illegal actions. Railway Police Super in the meeting urged officials of different departments to work jointly in order to curb down the crime rate in the region. 

Railway Police has increased bit policing in Faujdarhat Railway Station, Sitakunda Railway Station, Sholashohor Railway Station, Chattogram Railway Station, Feni Railway Station, Choumuhoni Railway Station, Sonaimuri Railway Station, Laksam Railway Station, Cumilla Railway Station, Chandpur Boro Station, Chandpur Port Station, Meher Railway Station, Hajiganj Railway Station and Hitoshi Railway Station.

A huge amount of liquor and narcotics has been seized during last month; police informed that in the discussion. Such drives will be continued to curb down the crime rate, they assured.
