Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) has announced the admission notification for first-year Bachelor (Honours) students in the four-year 'Bachelor of Sports Studies' program for the academic year 2023-24. Renowned cricketers like Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim, who have made their mark in world cricket, hail from BKSP.
The online application process is open for admission into three courses as athletics, cricket, and swimming affiliated with the National University.The application fee is Tk 350. Eligible candidates must have passed their HSC or equivalent examinations in 2022 or 2023, with a minimum GPA of 6 in aggregate from both SSC and HSC exams. For SSC and equivalent exams taken in 2022-23, a minimum GPA of 6.5 is required for Science or Vocational Institution students.
Applicants must also have experience participating in sports at the national, divisional, or district level. Quota provisions are available for children of freedom fighters and minor ethnic groups.
The admission test will take place at BKSP, Savar, on June 27 at 9.00 am. Applicants must fill out the admission form online and bring a print copy on the day of the examination. They should also bring appropriate clothing and equipment for the health and fitness test specific to their sport.
The results of the admission test will be published on the BKSP website on July 4. For detailed admission rules, students can visit the college branch of BKSP, Jirani, Savar, during office hours from 9 am to 1 pm.
