bKash patrons science festival in Sylhet

With much enthusiasm and festivity, a large number of school students participated at the ‘Biggan Chinta-bKash Science Fest’ at Border Guard Public School & College in Sylhet on Saturday.
The country’s largest mobile financial service provider, bKash and the leading science related monthly publication, Biggan Chinta, jointly organized the festival where different events including exhibition of science projects, quiz competition, question-answer session, lecture by renowned teachers of the country, robot exhibition, science magic, orientation with various science books, cultural show and prize-giving session for winners took place. Students from class VI to X presented captivating science projects. The programme was attended, among others, by Abdul Quayyum, Editor of Biggan Chinta, Humayun Kabir, Head of Regulatory & Corporate Affairs of bKash and noted teachers from reputed schools and colleges of Sylhet, said a press release.
To promote science practice among the school students, this programme started from Dhaka. Following that, the fest has been successfully held in Chattogram, Rangpur, Khulna and Barishal. The next event will be organized at Rajshahi College. Finally, the gala round will be held at Viqarunnesa Noon School & College in Dhaka in October.
Abdul Qayyum, Editor of Biggan Chinta said that the Science Fest will boost confidence among the students besides igniting the love for science. Biggan Chinta is proud to inspire students through this program. The young talents should be nurtured properly so that they can keep pace with the highly advancing new world of science and become successful scientists in future. He thanked bKash wholeheartedly for assisting in this great initiative.
