Two Mexican poets along with 35 local poets participated at a recitation show held at Biswa Sahitya Kendra in Banglamotor on Friday.
The event was jointly organised by World Festival of Poetry and KATHAK, a Bangladesh-Poetry Initiative, which focuses on getting poets and poetry lovers together under a single platform for spreading peace all over the world.
The participating poets entertained the audience reciting self-penned poems portraying anti-war messages.
Mexican poets Dr Yuri Zambrano and Dr Mayra Chavez along with eminent local poets entertained the audience reciting self-penned poems at the auditorium of Biswa Sahitya Kendra.
Local poets like Poet Mohammad Nurul Huda, Poet Aminur Rahman, Poet Jahidul Huq, Poet
Jahangir Firoze, Poet Najma Chowdhury, Poet Shakib Lohani, Poet Tarik Sujat and others attended the event.
