In view of the growing demand of air passengers, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has unveiled plans to increase the number of its international flights to the Gulf counties with effect from this month.
The national flag carrier is gearing up to enhance connectivity to key destinations, including Jeddah, Madinah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha from multiple airports across the country.
As part of the expanded schedule, Biman flight BG235 will operate on the Sylhet-Jeddah route every Thursday from December 28. BG237 will run on the Sylhet-Madinah route every Wednesday from December 27, and BG227 is scheduled to connect Sylhet to Abu Dhabi from December 13 with its flights every Wednesday from December 11.
Passengers can take advantage of Biman BG138 flights from Madinah to Chattogram every Tuesday, while BG127 will operate on the Chattogram-Abu Dhabi route from December 17 on every Sunday.
Biman has outlined additional routes targeting the new year. BG125 will operate on the Chattogram-Doha route every Sunday from January 7, BG138 will connect Madinah to Chattogram every Tuesday, and BG236 will run on the Jeddah- Sylhet route every Wednesday from February 21.
Biman’s General Manager (Public Relations) Tahera Khandaker told the Bangladesh Post, “Biman is going to increas flights to different destinations in the Middle East to meet huge passenger demand. Biman has also a plan to operate more flights on different international routes.”
To facilitate easy access of passengers, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has made the flight schedules for these routes available across all distribution channels, including the Biman host system.
Tickets for these flights can be purchased at any Biman sales outlet through Biman call centre, on the official website www.biman-airlines.com, mobile apps and authorised Biman travel agencies.
