Biman Bangladesh Airlines is set to launch ticket sales for its Dhaka-Chennai-Dhaka route, with sales starting from today (Monday).
Tickets will be available for purchase from 11 am through various distribution channels, including Biman’s official website (www.biman-airlines.com), mobile apps, Biman sales centers, the Biman call center at 01990997997, and authorized Biman travel agencies.
For the Dhaka-Chennai route, the minimum one-way fare in economy class, inclusive of all taxes, will begin at Tk 15,520 per person. The return ticket fare is set to start at Tk 26,635. In business class, the minimum one-way fare, including taxes, will start from Tk 37,624, and the return ticket fare will commence at Tk 61,995. Rental amounts may vary based on timing and demand.
The inaugural flight, BG363, will depart from Dhaka for Chennai at 12:50 PM every Saturday, Monday, and Thursday, reaching Chennai at 03:20 PM local time. The return flight, BG364, will depart from Chennai on the same days at 04:15 PM local time, landing in Dhaka at 07:30 PM.
Biman’s Chennai flights are scheduled to commence operations from December 16, 2023, utilizing Boeing 737-800 aircraft. This new route aims to enhance connectivity between Dhaka and Chennai, providing passengers with additional travel options and facilitating increased mobility between the two vibrant cities.
