The much-awaited Dhaka-Toronto commercial flight operation would finally be inaugurated today (July 27). This is the first commercial flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on this route.
BG 305 aircraft of Biman will officially fly to Toronto from Dhaka at 3:30 am on Wednesday. Biman’s General Manager (Public Relations) Tahera Khandkar said.
She said, “Two flights will be operated on the Dhaka-Toronto route in a week. BG 305 flight will take a technical break at Istanbul at 9 am local time for refueling after flying from Dhaka. After the break, the flight will depart from Istanbul and arrive in Toronto at 1:55 PM local time.”
On the other hand, every Wednesday at 7:30 pm local time, BG306 will depart from Toronto to Dhaka. The flight will fly non-stop for 16 hours and reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9:30 pm local time on Thursday.
Weekly second flight BG306 will fly from Toronto every Sunday at 9 pm local time and reach Dhaka directly on Monday at 11 pm local time.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Bangladesh's only International Air Transport Association (IATA) member airline, will operate flights on the Dhaka-Toronto route using state-of-the-art brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
A minimum fare of Tk 90,510 has been fixed for one-way journey in economy class from Bangladesh. The return ticket fare is Tk 1,53,370.
One way fare of premium economy class is Tk 127300 and return fare is Tk 234355. One-way fare for business class travel will start from Tk 164100 and the minimum fare for the return ticket has been fixed at Tk 304302.
For passengers who wish to travel to Dhaka from Toronto, the one-way fare in economy class has been fixed at Canadian Dollar 690 and the return ticket price is Canadian Dollar 1233.
