BIFPCL arranges free medical camp at Rampal

Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt.) Limited (BIFPCL) organised free medical camp at the UP Complex of Rajnagar Union Parishad at Rampal upazila of Bagerhat on Thursday. A total of 277 eye patients were treated and medicines were given free of cost in the daylong medical camp. Among these patients, some were identified for cataract surgery as well which would be taken place soon as another good gesture of company.

BIFPCL conducts two free medical camps weekly at project site and one monthly medical camp at village level. Until now, BIFPCL has provided free health care services to about 43 thousand 500 local people of Rampal and Mongla upazilas. As a new initiative of the company, it will organise mobile boat free medical camp in the remote and unapproachable areas of Rampal-Mongla areas. The company will provide doctor’s consultation and medicines for free to local people of those areas.

Md. Mamunur Rashid Deputy Commissioner of Bagerhat, Tusher Kanti Pal, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Rampal and DPD Md. Rezaul Karim, DGM, Sidhdhartha Mondal and Deputy Manager Tariqul Islam were present in the free medical camp. As recognition of tremendous community development activities in adjacent areas of the project site, Rajnagar Union Parishad presented a crest of honor to BIFPCL.
